Former Liverpool big name Stan Collymore has made it transparent he doesn’t have main issues about Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez because the membership’s new full-backs.

The Reds have made some large adjustments to their squad this summer season, with Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike some of the most enjoyable arrivals.

In the meantime, attacking duo Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have left the membership, however possibly the largest adjustments have are available defence.

Trent Alexander-Arnold ran down his contract sooner than being bought to Actual Madrid, with Frimpong becoming a member of from Bayer Leverkusen to interchange him at right-back.

In the meantime, Kerkez was once signed from Bournemouth and now appears to be forward of Andrew Robertson within the pecking order.

Thus far, the LFC defence hasn’t seemed that convincing, conceding two objectives towards each Crystal Palace and Bournemouth of their opening two video games of the season.

Collymore, then again, doesn’t assume the attack-minded nature of Frimpong and Kerkez will end up to be a large drawback within the long-term, as they’ll make up for it with the standard they upload to Arne Slot’s attack-minded aspect.

“I think that Liverpool supporters shouldn’t have concerns about their defensive performance against Bournemouth, because Arne Slot clearly wants to play on the front foot attacking football,” Collymore wrote in his unique CaughtOffside column.

He added: “Now, Virgil van Dijk, as excellent as he’s, and as excellent as he’s at protecting spherical, he’s ageing. And there’s an issue that whoever stands subsequent to him as a central defender is nowhere close to the type of degree of studying the sport or as excellent a defender. And I feel that each with Kerkez and Frimpong are not any other to how Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold had been all the way through their high years.

“Bournemouth are a very good team that can hit you on the counter-attack very well, so I think that Liverpool will settle in very well and they will create a lot more going forward than they give problems going back.

“We’ll see if they’re good enough against the very best in those very big Sunday games against Man City or Arsenal. In those matches, they will need to defend more, stay on a tight leash alongside the two central defenders and defend well in their own defensive third for a game.

“But I think that going forward, I think that Liverpool’s ethos is entertainment and creating and scoring goals. And Kerkez and Frimpong will absolutely give more than they take away from the team.”

Liverpool face a difficult away sport subsequent as they commute to stand Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Monday evening, with Frimpong now injured.
